DOWN WITH BUSES!
Hi everyone! Reached home about an hour ago.. feel kinda lousy. I think the weather has something to do with it, its like... sooooo hot nowadays la. Walking around the campus becomes something to dread for me =/ Really have to learn to ride a motorbike or drive a car asap and slowly cruise into the campus, enjoying air-con and shade while you're at it.. not sure if my parents will let me learn the ride a bike though.. ohwell, I WANT AN ALTERNATIVE FORM OF TRANSPORT ASIDE MY LEGS AND A BUS! Something i really don't get, the revenue from bus companies are so high, but they still continually raise the prices, claiming that the oil prices are sky-rocketing. Wanna know what i think? That they're a bunch of shrewd money-hungry leeches who're alarmed at the slightest possibility of losing even a fraction of their profit, hence feeding off the common commuters who have no other methods of transports and therefore pay a ridiculous price for it. I mean cmon! What a joke! its supposed to be a service to the residents in singapore. The bus drivers (now referred to as bus CAPTAINS) don't exactly give you a very comfortable trip either. Honestly, some of them are just plain rude and unreasonable. I don't see the point of making a crowded bus wait for you to pay as you struggle with your belongings while practically ripping your bag apart out of despair, looking for spare change because your ez-link card has no money. Thats just being plain stupid. And what's the meaning of making you exit from the backdoor when the bus is so crowded you probably have to squeeze through masses of bodies just to make it out when the bus driver can simply aid you slightly by opening the front door. Is it that hard for them to press that stupid button?!?! @#$@#*& I totally understand when drivers refuse to open the front door when the bus is empty and people are plain lazy to walk to the back or when there are people who wish to board the bus, but when the bus is full and there's no one boarding? I mean there's no need to stick to the rules all the time! Out of convenience sake, is there no other way to exit a bus by the back? And even when a commuter goes to the front with all his
barangbarang, the driver seems to find it his right in not talking and waiting for the commuter to realise that he has to exit through the backdoor through his own discretion. JUST OPEN YOUR MOUTH TO TELL YOU THAT YOU CANT EXIT FROM THERE! IS IT THAT HARD???? -.- They seem to find joy in making your trip unpleasant.. honestly, i think that the bus companies have to rethink what's really neseccary. Providing quality service to the residents of singapore? or continue being complete jerks about it
